(Formed from the former Education & Career Mentoring Committees)

About the Committee

In 2024, the ACE Board of Directors established the Professional Development Committee through the merger of the Career Mentoring Committee and the Education Committee. The Professional Development Committee works to create a range of dynamic programming to support the professional growth of all ACE members. 

Statement of Purpose: The Professional Development Committee supports the professional growth of epidemiologists at all career stages and in all sectors.

Current Committee Goals and Activities 

  • Develop and curate programming that supports the professional growth of ACE members.  

  • Enhance and promote the ACE mentor program, offering the opportunity for participation in individualized mentorships to all ACE members.  

  • Identify resources for a sustainable online professional development library.  

  • Coordinate with the Equity and Inclusion Committee on the Career Decision Points Roadmap. 

  • Support professional development activities at the 2026 ACE Annual meeting.
