About the Committee

The committee addresses to advance the ethical practice of epidemiology. Advocate for policy positions and statements that are ethically sound and aim to improve population health. Support research and education on ethics, policy and epidemiology and their intersections. Raise awareness on contemporary issues related to ethics, policy and epidemiology. Create opportunities for mentoring in the Committee and in ACE more broadly. Promote the dissemination of tools and methods to enhance the translation of epidemiology into policy.  

Leadership Charges/Goals/Focus
  1. Establish guidelines for developing position statements.
  2. Develop guidelines and toolkit on ethical research practices in epidemiology.
